Dear citizen of Clumsy Linguist,

it’s wonderful to see you again! This weekend I’m coming to you a little late, confused and overwhelmed with exams. *Sighs.*

Well, at least the exam season will be over soon and I’ll have all the time in the world to fully invest my time into writing!

Let’s get to the letter, shall we?

Why Forcing Married Couples into Traditional Roles Can Make Them Hate Each Other

For non-Medium Members

You can read some of these articles on my News Break profile for free here. However, NewsBreak is making an even bigger shift towards local content, which means that many of my articles on there will be a completely different format.

The topics I’m passionate about will always be mainly on Medium.

I’m currently reading The State of Affairs by Esther Perel, a famous couple-therapist. It focuses on untangling what infidelity means, why it hurts so much, what emotions are at play and how to move on from it.

I come from a cheating background and so I find this novel extremely interesting and helpful when it comes to trying to understand what’s going on behind the scenes of an affair and a broken marriage. I have to read it in small doses because it’s quite hard on me - the book is very vivid and it easily makes you re-live the emotions of all the couples mentioned because it digs so deep int their states of mind.

It’s definitely worth it, though. I’m planning on drawing lots of inspiration from it in my future writing.

Clumsy Confessions

This week, I broke three glasses. Three. My clumsiness was hiding for a bit, but it’s apparently back and stronger than ever. Everyone beware.

Thank you for reading and I wish you a lovely Sunday. Speak to you soon!
